Still in the Wind

Being at the helm is not always the best place to be. Being in control does not necessarily imply that your circumstances and direction are going the way you want. As a leader, when issues and circumstances come in to “steal your wind” its time to allow Him to “still your wind”. Rest, or being still, does not happen just by slowing down your daily activities but it is found in believing that Father daily wants to show you His love and direction for your life. Jesus found that place of rest in His relationship with His Dad, and so can we. Be Still and know that He is God…

very good trisha. love the part about "Rest, or being still, does not happen just by slowing down your daily activities ". especially with small kids I am seeing this. I am not always able to spend an hour in the morning and in the evening. I had a plan last night to put the kids to bed and soak and worship last night since my husband was working night shift but with a turn of events and spending the evening in the E.R. with one of the little ones, when I finally got home and the kids were asleep, I said I'm not letting that steal my time away from father so though it was late I decided relaxed my enviroment and began to worship. I heard the Lord say "Majesta, you are tired and should lay down." and i replied "But Papa i wanna stay up and be with you", my daddy said to me, "Majesta is not your spirit always awake", " I finally layed down with my dad and though my body rested my spirit played and I had the best dreams. so back to what you said Trisha "Rest, or being still, does not happen just by slowing down your daily activities". His rest is our security blanket in the midt of our busy day. He wants to join in our life too.
