Midwest Tour!

Nothing like coming home after being away for a long time. The trip was wonderful though.
We started on a farm and ended up in a lake resort town. It was true baptism into midwest culture. Being a beach boy I mostly thought of the midwest as the boring part between the oceans. After this trip though I am thinking of it as the beautiful part between the oceans.
We saw fields and farmland that stretched as far as the eye could see and gravel roads with 55 mile an hour speed limits. We even saw a station wagon that slid off into a lake and all you could see was the roof; didn’t navigate the gravel very well. We also witnessed the most incredible lightning storm any of us had ever seen, including the locals.
That was all in a thriving metropolis known as Harvey, ND. We spent 4 days on the Franklin farm with good friends, the kind that are not scared to step into your life and call you out when you need it. John and Nicole Franklin are good friends from Redding, Ca that we have only seen for a couple of days since Sarah and I left Redding last November to come east. It was truly fulfilling and their family was wonderful.
From there we had ministry on our mind but as you know relationship is the forefront of what we do and we were not disappointed with the new people we had the chance to meet.
The first stop was Fargo, ND. We got hooked up there through Harvey native and Bethel ministry school graduate, Preston Hall. I had met Preston through John and Nicole but hadn’t had the opportunity to spend much time with him. For times sake let me just say that the Burning Hearts group is true to their name and were passionate about the Father’s Heart and walking in Sonship. We hope to spend a lot more time with them.
Then we were on to Hutchinson, MN where we were met with more midwest hospitality and hungry hearts. I always think of snow and the Vikings when I think of Minnesota but wow is it beautiful and green in the summer! The Olmsteads and Oneills our incredible hosts there. Riverside Assembly has some serious things happening in that little town.
The end of the road was an Encounter Week with our old friends and board members Dave and Kris Toyne. As Trisha, said it may not have been the biggest school we have done but it was some of the deepest healing she has seen in that setting. It was like prayer ministry sessions everyday. And we did all of this while staying in the quaint town of Clear Lake, IA. Its like a story book and probably hasn’t changed a whole lot since Buddy Holly’s plane went down there in 1959.
I am going to end it here so as not to bore everyone with too many details but we would like to thank everyone who crossed our path on this trip. Our journey was richer because you were a part of it.
God is so good I can’t stand it!
