Back from Jacksonville!

We just got back from the Jacksonville Vineyard. We did 3 services with them and the timing to be there was amazing! The senior pastor was just stepping down because he is feeling the tug of God to go in another direction.
It is amazing that God is getting us involved with leadership teams. We were honored to be invited in to their time of transition. The pastors, Rick and Carol Wallis, are sweet people and the team wants them to be happy in their endeavors.
Now comes some tough stuff though. Where do we go from here? They are in a community whose ethnic make up is rapidly changing so who they are as a church is changing. How do you deal with that? What does that even look like 6 months or a year from now?
Great times and difficult times all in the same package! Its exciting to see what God might do but its the time when people get squeezed and see what’s inside of them as Jack liked to put it. Of course, from our perspective it is an amazing opportunity for growth and to solidify long relationships.

Pray for this group in their transition. This situation is difficult no matter who you are.

Thank you for coming to Jacksonville. My wife and I were blessed by the Word at the service and in the materials purchased at your book table. Interesting enough is the fact that my wife and I are on a team at our church called the TRANSITION Team!!!! Mmmmm and you spoke on transition mmmm. Do I smell a divine appointment or what.
